As a photographer I love to give back. So a few years ago I decided to volunteer my services to an organization for Soldier’s and their families called Operation Love. I get to photograph soldiers deployments and most of all their homecomings. This was my first ever homecoming! Once I got the call from Michele about her husband returning home from overseas, I was ecstatic to do this for her & her family!
Most of the time being behind a camera you usually aren’t completely “in the moment” of what you are actually capturing but this was a whole other level for me! I was filled with excitement, nervousness and most of all joy! The back of my camera and my viewfinder was soaked in tears!
It’s apparent how much his family missed him and how thankful they are that he returned home safely from being overseas.
Welcome Home Michael Severt! Thank you for serving our country and keeping us all safe. It was my pleasure to be there with you & your wonderful loving family on the day of your homecoming! It was a moment that I’ll cherish forever!
Great images, got all teary eyed looking through them!
Welcome home! Beautiful family
Beautiful family, welcome home!
I teared up just looking through these. The one of the mom and dad kissing got me the most choked up! These are perfect.
I love capturing Military Homecomings. Congrats to the Severt Family on the safe return of their Hero.
ok… tears here!!
